With an undergrad population of nearly 35,000, UQAM is the largest university in the Université du Quebec system. It also has the most sizeable athletic department amongst its UQ counterparts in correlation with its UQAM Citadin Sports Excellence Program, including a growing track and field/cross-country program led by an experienced coach in Jim McDannald.

Find info about francophone international fee exemptions here →UQAM offers qualified student athletes recruitment bursaries and the opportunity to apply for a number of UQAM bursaries after completing their rookie year. Each August before the start of the school year, the cross country team takes part in a training camp. Along with running it's a great opportunity to help bond the team and orient new team members. Past training camp locations include Mt. Tremblant and the Eastern Townships.

UQAM’s Centre Sportif is home to several facilities used by the men’s and women’s track and field and cross-country teams, such as the weight room, swimming pool (for aqua jogging), and treadmills.
Indoor track and field practices take place at McGill’s Tomlinson Fieldhouse.
