Humber College Cross country

From the coach

Welcome to the Humber Hawks Cross Country team!

Humber College is the largest college in Canada offering the country’s most diverse experiential learning opportunities.

Our collaboration with the University of Guelph-Humber further extends the academic opportunities of our student-athletes making us the only varsity cross country program offering everything from one year certificates to four year honours degrees.

Our student-athletes have a rich history of success in their studies and in OCAA and CCAA competitions because of a uniquely supportive structure designed to ensure that their needs are met both in the classroom and on the field of play.

We understand that the success of the athlete is inextricably linked to the success of the student, so we have built supports into our program that include academic monitoring/reporting, early intervention, peer/professional tutoring and group/team study sessions.

We recruit student-athletes that are athletic, accountable, coachable, committed, communicative, goal oriented, hard-working and passionate. We want student-athletes that are engaged in the whole process of individual and team success. And we believe in making scholarships available to the right ones.

Our goal is to take the Humber Hawks from good to excellent to elite.

Our plan is to build a program that is a perennial National Championship contender.

Our commitment is to get there with healthy, happy, balanced, successful student-athletes.
