From the Coach

Nebraska Wesleyan provides student-athletes with a truly exceptional academic experience. NWU is consistently ranked as one of the top private schools in the United States. A 11:1 student to teacher ratio provides student-athletes the individual attention they deserve. Our student-athletes possess a wide variety of academic interests. The one constant is the unwavering belief that academics is the #1 priority in our program.

Besides developing as athletes, we believe our program supports the full development of our athletes as a person. Our coaching staff is intent on emphasizing the importance of a positive attitude, integrity, confidence, teamwork, goal setting, personal responsibility, and spiritual values. Development of these attributes is not only important during the college years but will help our student-athletes lead a full and successful life as members of society.

We want every single student-athlete to thoroughly enjoy being part of our program. As a coaching staff, we have the goal of making 4:00 practice a time that our student-athletes look forward to coming to everyday. We want to do the training necessary to be great athletes and do it in an environment that is encouraging, supportive, and just plain fun

We are very confident we can help each athlete reach their full potential. This can range from representing the United States on a World Championship team to winning an NCAA national title, to becoming an All-American, becoming an All-Conference performer or to simply be the best they can be and setting personal bests in their events.
